A writer, producer and director based in the UK, with experience in documentary, fiction and promo films spanning over 9 years, Basil has worked in Europe, Middle East and China and considers himself a hands-on director.

Basil undertook an MA in Screen Project Development at Screen Academy Scotland, in Edinburgh, and has diplomas in Television Production and 3D Animation. He went on to produce a feature documentary ‘Replay  Revenge’, and a number of short films. He currently lives in London, where he dedicates his time to writing and works freelance on television productions.

Basil took part in the 2010 Torino Film Lab / Interchange programme with Dubai International Film Festival and the 2010 Sundance Institute’s “Rawi Screenwriter’s Lab”. Most recently his screenplay “A Gaza Weekend” was awarded a development grant from the Doha Film Institute, and took part in the Doha Projects event at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival 2011.
